MEET THE TEAM!
The heart of Toastie Games is friendship—Beau, David, and Ilyas have been creating together for over four years, growing from scrappy students into a tight-knit dev team with big dreams and chaotic group chats. We’ve gone on trips, shared deadlines and disasters, and made more weird little games than we can count—each one sharpening our skills and shaping our style. What started as a shared passion has turned into something real: a studio built on trust, growth, and the belief that games should feel like something. With every project, we’ve pushed each other to level up—and Junkrush is the one where everything clicks. It’s not just a game we’re proud of—it’s the result of years of friendship, failure, and figuring it out together.

Beau Heijman – Character artist
Beau is the visual soul of Toastie Games. With a background in character design, 3D texturing, and UI/UX, they lead the artistic vision of each project together with Ilyas with a fierce eye for style, emotion, and identity. From scribbling out initial concepts to crafting rich, layered interfaces, Beau makes sure every frame feels intentional—and every character, unforgettable. They’re also the team’s glue: organizing brainstorms, sparking weird ideas, and keeping the vibes immaculate.

Ilyas Tosun – Lead Environment Artist & Worldbuilder
Ilyas brings life into the worlds we make. With a signature blend of dreamy lighting, grounded architecture, and detail-rich scenery, he transforms maps into moods. Whether it’s the neon alleys of Junkrush or the eerie quiet of past projects, Ilyas builds spaces that breathe. He’s also our studio's aesthetic compass—the one who knows how to make everything feel like it belongs, even the trash piles.

David Ale – Gameplay Programmer & Systems Designer
David is the magic behind the screen. He turns wild ideas into real mechanics, building the systems that make our games actually work—from tech puzzles and interfaces to inventory flow and player feedback. Whether it's crafting tactile repair loops or making our UI feel juicy, David keeps the engine running.
